I am a math educator with a passion for teaching and inspiring students to explore the fascinating world of math. I have a background in mathematics and education. I strongly believe that everyone can enjoy and learn math, no matter how challenging it may seem at first.
Currently, I am working as a research assistant with Dr. Melissa Gresalfi on a playful math learning project taking place in early elementary settings.
Guided by the sociocultural view of learning, I have a broad range of research interests. I am interested in studying shifts in students’ math identity as they engage in playful activities. I am also interested in community-based learning and place-based learning. I enjoy exploring ways to integrate art, play, and technology with math and science learning.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, dancing, baking, drawing, and playing the piano.
Here are a few fields I've been working with recently:Transferred to UW-Madison to complete.
